I believe Vince Castro was a neighbor of the Tonettes and they used to sing together in the neighborhood. Once the Tonettes recorded, I think they got him to sing background which led to his recording. On a couple of his songs, the girls, particularly Josie, were/was the background voices. Vince Castro lived across the street from the Tonettes, He also dated Josie Allen in the early 60's.
