Smooth ER it detoxifies poisons, alcohol, and drugs
liver
The liver.
The cell organelle that detoxifies poisons and drugs in the liver of vertebrates is the smooth endoplasmic reticulum (SER), specifically in hepatocytes. The enzymes located in the SER are responsible for metabolizing and breaking down these toxic substances into forms that can be more easily excreted from the body.
The liver does almost all of it.
the liver.
Mostly the liver.
Boosts the immune system and detoxifies the body.
The group of flattened sacs that detoxifies poisons that may be found in the body are called Golgi. Golgi are present in most eukaryotic cells.
The liver
A Golgi apparatus is the group of flattened sacs that detoxifies poisons that may be found in the body. The Golgi are grouped together like a stack of bowls.
The Smooth ER is the "hallways" of the cell, that lead products to the Golgi appratus. It synthesis lipids, metabolizes carbohydrates, and detoxifies drugs and poisons. It also stores calcium ions, which are necessary for muscle movement.
