100%, I believe. The entire nervous system is made up of nerves. And nerves, in general receive pain, pleasure, or both. Hope this helped a little.
The above is incorrect. Not all nerves carry pain signals. There are different nerves that carry information to the brain called afferent nerves and nerves that carry information from the brain out to the body called efferent nerves. There are also central and peripheral nerve fibers. The peripheral afferent nerves carry pain signals to the central afferent nerves which in turn carry the pain signals to the brain. The peripheral nervous system is made of three types of nerve fibers named groups A,B, and C type fibers. The group C fibers carry pain signals. I am trying to find the percentage myself but I have read that it is around 30% of the nervous system is capable of sensing pain.
The nervous system senses pain and controls movement.
The nervous system tells when you are hurting or are in pain.
The division of the nervous system that helps the body react to pain is known as the sympathetic nervous system. This is what will trigger responses to stressful situations.
The part of the nervous system that enables us to experience the sensation of hot or cold, pain or pressure is the hypothalamus, located in the brain. The hypothalamus sends messages to the rest of the body. As an example, when you begin to shiver from cold, the hypothalamus sends a message to muscles to begin to work quicker, generating heat.
Chronic pain is within the province of the parasympathetic nervous system, and the changeover occurs as the body attempts to adapt to the pain.
The nervous system controls pain in the body.
so you can feel pain
Nervous system causes the person to sense pain.
your nervous system tells your brain that it hurts and you fell pain.
The nervous system delivers rapid responses to the brain with regard to pain and pleasure.
Response to acute pain is made by the sympathetic nervous system (the nerves responsible for the fight-or-flight response of the body).
Autonomic is the automatic nervous system eg pain response (something you cannot not control) while the somatic nervous system is the thing we can control.
