Trazapam (poster's original spelling) doesn't come up on any chem searches, and I don't think it exists. Trazepam, however, seems to be an uncommon alternate name for diazepam, i.e. Valium. Valium is a tranquilizer, commonly used to treat anxiety, insomnia, seizures, alcohol withdrawal, and muscle spasms. It's effects are somewhat similar to alcohol, which is why it can be substituted when a patient is withdrawing.

Please be aware that spelling is very important when talking about medications. Pharmaceutical companies are quickly running out of new drug names, and often two completely different drugs will have names that differ by only one letter.
