Whiplash is type of injury affecting the nerves, muscles tendons and vertebrae of the cervical spine - also known as the neck. The most common type of whiplash is in a RTA were a passenger or driver is wearing a seatbelt. The head is thrown violently forwards and backwards causing a hyper extension of the neck and whiplash.
