Answer
I don't know what the word is for this but I do know that is a very common to remember things in a good light especially for someone you really care about. Unless things were really, really bad it is quite normal to remember things better than they really were after some period of time. Sometimes, if things were really bad and it has a tremendous emotional impact on someones emotions or thought processes, they can go into a state of denial where they do not or cannot accept the circumstances that occurred. It may be that they don't even have any control over the situation because it was so traumatic for them at some point. It's similar, in my opinion, to the process an individual goes through when a loved one has passed away. There are, I believe, four stages of the grieving process, denial being one of the stages - maybe the second stage but I'm not sure. In addition, I guess there are times when an individual is not mentally healthy or has emotional problems that are unresolved and they refuse to accept, or they block out, things that were too emotionally or mentally traumatic for their ability to handle or deal with.
Excalibur is a much better word than exclaimed, in my opinion.

better - comparativebest - superlativeJon is better at maths than me.My sister is the best at maths in her class.Comparative :better- superlative : bestThe comparative form of "good" is "better", and the superlative form of "good" is "best". "Better" is used when comparing two things. "Best" is used when comparing more than two things. For example, the blue notebook is better than the red one. (Two things are being compared.) Out of the three notebooks, the blue one is the best. (Three things are being compared.)Good; Better; Best
Most people learn and remember based on visual examples, meaning they will remember a word on a screen better than a word that they've heard. A media aid could also be a relevant video, or maybe even a chart to display statistics. A media aid allows the audience to better remember the points you've made and follow along with the points you are making.
The word most is already in the superlative form. There is no better form.Mostest, for instance, is not a valid word.
