I just opened a can of Diet Pepsi which had been on the shelf of a closet, and it tasted awful. The bottom of the can had a date of May 21, 2007. I don't know if that was the "production" date, or an "expiration" date. Nevertheless, it was an awful taste. The same thing happened with a can of Canada Dry Ginger Ale.
