Both HDL and LDL cholesterol are a kind of fat. Since cholesterol cannot be transported into your bloodstream, it needs these two lipoproteins.

HDL is also called "good" cholesterol because it tends to wash cholesterol from blood vessels.

LDL is called "bad" cholesterol because it can accumulate in your bloodstream when reaches high levels and cause atherosclerosis

Very high levels of HDL and LDL lead to Heart diseases. If there are too many LDL molecules in your blood HDL will help get rid of it but over time it will build up in you blood decreasing the flow to your heart and brain. This leads to a heart attack or a stroke.

HDL and LDL are under the five major classes of lipoproteins in the human plasma.

role of HDL: transport of cholesterol (as ester) from peripheral tissue to liver for its excretion. HDL serves as a reservoir of apoproteins.

role of LDL : supply cholesterol to liver and other extrhepatic tissue for utilisation. transport of cholesterol from liver to tissue for utilisation.

Sometimes known as "good" cholesterol, HDL Cholesterol is believed to remove other forms of cholesterol such as LDL Cholesterol. HDL is believed to transport LDL to the liver for recycling. HDL is also believed to maintain the walls of the endothelium which is key to reducing the risk of heart attacks and strokes.

The functions of HDL and LDL in human body.?

The function of HDL in the human body is to transport cholesterol for excretion to the liver. The function of LDL is to transport cholesterol to the liver for use.

What are the differences in the structure of HDL and LDL cholesterol and how do these differences impact their functions in the body?

HDL (high-density lipoprotein) and LDL (low-density lipoprotein) cholesterol differ in their composition and functions in the body. HDL has more protein and less cholesterol, while LDL has more cholesterol and less protein. HDL helps remove excess cholesterol from the bloodstream and transport it to the liver for disposal, while LDL carries cholesterol to cells throughout the body, which can lead to plaque buildup in arteries. These differences make HDL "good" cholesterol and LDL "bad" cholesterol in terms of heart health.

What is hdl and ldl?

HDL is high density lipoprotein , Whilst LDL is low density lipoprotein .

what the normol of hdl and ldl?

what the normol hsl and ldl?

Hdl and ldl prevent cardiovascular disease?

You want your HDL (good) to be higher and your LDL (bad) to be lower.

What is the relationship between HDL and LDL cholesterol levels in the body and how do they impact overall health?

HDL (high-density lipoprotein) and LDL (low-density lipoprotein) are two types of cholesterol in the body. HDL is considered "good" cholesterol as it helps remove LDL, the "bad" cholesterol, from the arteries. High levels of LDL can lead to plaque buildup in the arteries, increasing the risk of heart disease. On the other hand, high levels of HDL are associated with lower risk of heart disease. Therefore, maintaining a balance between HDL and LDL levels is important for overall heart health.

Is LDL HDL ratio of 3.22 OK?

Yes. It is correct to say that the LDL HDL ratio of 3.22 is okay.

What does low HDL indicates?

hdl is your good cholesterol..you want it higher and you want your ldl to be lower

What are two types of cholesterol carriers found in blood?
