Community immersion is a community organizing approach aimed at instilling a deeper awareness and realization of varied community problems among NSTP trainees via exposure to real-life circumstances, particularly in the poor, depressed, and disadvantaged (DDU) neighborhoods. As a student, you are supposed to learn, experience, and feel what it is like to live in the real world. This was the whole point of the community immersion in the first place. The student's small experience and observation would inspire him or her. We shall instill in them the sense of responsibility that comes with being a future adult citizen in this way. Perhaps one of them will be inspired to do something that will benefit the nation as well as themselves.
