whan a cylinder and a cone have the same radius and the same height, their volumes are in the ratio of 3:1

'pi' r*r*h : 1/3'pi' r*r*h this is the comapision of their of their volumes through this we clearly understand that their volumes are in the ration of 3:1 therefore proved!!!

The volume of a circular cylinder varies directly with the height of the cylinder and with the square of the cylinder's radius If the height is halved and the radius is doubled then the volume will be increased.

Formula for volume of a circular cylinder?

The volume of a cylinder is represented by this formula:r2Ï€hwhere r = radius of circular baseand h = height of cylinder

A right circular cylinder has a diameter of 6.8 in and a height of 2 ft what is the volume of the cylinder?

The volume of a right circular cylinder with a diameter of 6.8 in and a height of 2 feet is: 871.6 cubic inches.

A right circular cylinder has a height h which is equal to twice the cylinder's diameter In terms of h what is the volume of the cylinder?

Volume of the cylinder: pi*radius*radius*height

How do you caculate the volume of a cylinder?

Volume of a CylinderThe volume of a cylinder is the product of the area of its base and its height. Because a cylinder has a circular base, the volume of a cylinder is: Pi x r squared x hwhere r is the radius of the circular base and his the height.

What- is-the-relationship-between-cylinders'-cones'-and-spheres'-surface area?

The relationship between the surface areas of cylinders, cones, and spheres is that the surface area of a cylinder is equal to the sum of the areas of its two circular bases and its curved surface area, the surface area of a cone is equal to the sum of the area of its circular base and its curved surface area, and the surface area of a sphere is equal to four times the area of its circular base.

What is the formula for the total volume of a right circular cylinder?

pi * radius2 * height

What is the surface area of a right circular cylinder with base circle of radius of 5M and height of the cylinder 10M?

150

How do you find the volume for circular cylinder?

Volume = (Pi/4) * diameter2 * height or volume = Pi * radius2 * height

A right circular cylinder has a height of 205 and a volume of 112 what is the radius?

r = 0.41702

Does a cylinder have to be tall?

No. It just has to be circular in section with some height/length; a wedding band is a cylinder as is a factory chimney or a drainpipe.

A right circular cylinder has a volume of 500 cu in if the base has a radius of 4 in what is the altitude of the cylinder?

The volume of a right circular cylinder is found by using this formula: V=pi/4*r2*height Note: In this case, altitude and height are the same thing. Fill in the measurements you are given and solve. 500 = (3.14)(4)2(height) 500 = (3.14)(16)(height) 500 = (50.24)(height) height = approximately 9.95 inches
