∙ 14y agoSweat--be sure to keep yourself hydrated if you're exposed to a hot environment. Once your body is unable to sweat [as a result of dehydration], you can succumb to heat stroke, a potentially fatal condition if left untreated.

∙ 14y agoThe organ most involved with maintaining body temperature is the dermis (aka skin). If you are hot you begin to perspire (aka sweat), this works through evaporative cooling (the same thing that makes you feel cold when you step out of the shower, the evaporating water draws heat away from your body).

Body heat is not primarily lost through evaporation. It is typically lost through radiation, conduction, and convection. Evaporation can contribute to heat loss, but it is not the main mechanism in the human body.
The main characteristic of a negative feedback mechanism is that it works to maintain homeostasis by counteracting changes in a system. When a parameter deviates from its set point, the mechanism activates to bring the parameter back to its normal range, thus stabilizing the system.
