The Hauora, is a Maori philosophy of health and well-being unique to New Zealand. It deals with four aspects of the mind and body; physical, mental, social, and spiritual. The Hauora has been compared to the four walls of a whare, each wall representing a different dimension. All four dimensions are necessary for strength and stability. Recently, the Hauora has been integrated into many primary and secondary schools in New Zealand to allow children to understand and appreciate the important aspects of both fitness and well-being.

Hauora is health Whakapapa is geneology but it does not solely refer to blood relatives, it also refers to your tribal affiliations (land, mountain, river/sea/lake, waka etc) Kaitiakitanga is guardianship or steward. Kinship is both of family relationships and relationships by nature (gender, qualities etc)
I would say that you could tell by their demeanour, the way they carry themselves. They would walk tall, carry themselves with pride, and dress in a clean manner. That is not to say that they cannot be casual , wearing jeans, shorts, skirts, sweats etc. However I believe that they would have a healthy respect for themselves and others and would take care of themselves. I think that the way they interact with others is also a giveaway. If they do not show respect to others then they do not have a positive sense of Hauora. Other than this I don't think that you can tell too much by just looking and some people are very good at hiding their true selves.
