Parents or families staying at a Ronald McDonald House when a child is ill or injured usually has no cost. Sometimes, "houses" like this charge minimal fees, but most do not.
Families either stay at no cost or are asked to make a donation up to $25 per day, depending on the house. The RMHC Global Policy is that families are never turned away; if its not possible to pay, the fee is waived.
I can't think of any way that paying the small amount that you pay to stay at a Ronald McDonald house would ever be tax deductible. Sorry.
The Ronald McDonald House is somewhat of a hotel where families who have kids in a hospital can stay/ The House is close to the hospital's. It's really great there, and they can use all the help they can get. See related link!

Yes! The Ronald McDonald House Charities are charitable organization set up to help families with sick children. The Houses themselves are available close to nearby hospitals, where the parents of sick children can stay the night. This helps because it takes the financial cost of finding a hotel away from the parents, and is more comfortable than sleeping in the hospital. Currently there are Ronald McDonald Houses in more than 50 countries. Other charitable organizations also take donations in the name of Ronald McDonald House Charities.
McDonald's House is a home-away-from-home where families can stay while their child is being treated in a nearby hospital. It provides a safe, nurturing environment for families during the stressful time when their child is receiving care.
Ronald McDonald House is a support charity for families of kids with cancer and other serious illnesses. They buy and operate large residences, similar to boarding houses, where kids (and their families) can stay when they are receiving medical care in a distant city. This helps reduce the enormous financial strain on parents, and gives the kids a more familiar living atmosphere, similar to what they have at home. This psychological value has been shown to improve the effectiveness of medical treatment.
Ronald would win because he has the advantage of not wearing a big mask that messes up his peripheral vision. The Kings Head is also very big making it hard to stay balanced!! the king would lose due to his unproperly proportioned body
The mission of the Ronald McDonald House® of Cleveland is to support families whose children are receiving treatment at area medical centers by providing a home-like environment and essential resources and services. The Ronald McDonald House of Cleveland is a home-away-from-home for families whose children are receiving medical care at Cleveland-area hospitals. (Most of our guest are receiving treatment at either Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital or the Children's Hospital at the Cleveland Clinic - both of which reside within the medical community of University Circle.) Most of these children have serious illnesses, such as cancer, leukemia, cystic fibrosis or heart defects. Their families may have traveled a great distance to seek treatment in Cleveland or live nearby, and they need to stay close to a critically ill child. The Ronald McDonald House provides the comforts of home - and much more. In addition to 37 guest rooms, the House offers comfortable living and play areas, a fully equipped kitchen, library, family resource center, children's playroom and laundry room. Surrounding the House are beautiful gardens, flowers, herbs, a children's garden with a waterfall, winding walkways and benches. This serene oasis was designated as a Backyard Wildlife Habitat by the National Wildlife Federation. This year alone, the Ronald McDonald House of Cleveland will serve more than 1,200 families. It stands as a symbol of comfort and support in our community, with open arms to welcome any family who might need shelter within its walls. It's easy to see why our House is called "The House That Love Built."
