Your post is not clear. What do you mean by "combining form for cold"?
Are you asking just "how" to clear up a cold?
A cold is a virus. There is no medical way to "clear up" a cold --- which is a virus.
Yes, there are over-the-counter meds which help us to feel more comfortable. But, they're not going to "clear up" a cold.
Only time does. You just have to struggle it out.
There are "home-spun" remedies which I've found to help: my Grandmother's "cold" recipe. It's easy. Hot tea, with some lemon, honey and whiskey. And drink it like hell.
It got to the point where I got rid of most of the tea, lemon and honey ---- and all I wanted was the whiskey. BUT --- it worked.
Everyone else was dying with their colds, with their over-the-counter remedies, yet it is I who survived and got well within 2 days --- thanks to the whiskey.
Penty of fluids, stay warm and drink (whatever) like hell. You'll be fine.
Regards.
