It is a rare condition in which stimuli are perceived by different senses. Some people might see music or taste colors. If you want to go further into the topic, there are projectile and associative synesthetes. Projectile is when you acually see somthing colored. If you were reading this right now, and had projectile Synesthesia, every letter would be colored, whether you like it or not. Associative is where you don't see the letter's colors, but you know that they are there. Example: A=red, B=green... 2 out of 100 synesthetes have projectile. The rest are associative.

It is a dreadful disease, where your eyes increase in viscosity, so much so that you can end up either blind, or with a terminal fungal infection behind the iris. The symptoms of Synaesthesia are excruciating head aches, frequent visions of pink elephants and progressive violence towards your loved ones, as it has a terrible effect on the mind.
