It would affect you if you were going into the army or air force and maybe an airline pilot but as personal use pilot it shouldn't. Especially if your eye problem can be corrected. I would just call an aviation school and ask. They won't know who you are when you call.
this could be a vision disorder- may be hyper metropia, which means that the person is not able to see the nearby objects clearly because the eye muscles have became weak and the are not being able to contract & relax normally . in such a condition , the image of the object formed by the lens of the eye is not formed on the retina but sum were behhind it hence the object is not recognised by our brain & we see blurr images.....
