"Respiratory" means breathing. The Respiratory System is one of the systems of the body; others include the integumentary system, the reproductive system, the nervous system, etc. The respiratory system is that system whereby oxygen is taken into the lungs through inhalation, passed through into the blood, circulated throughout the body down to the capillaries, followed by the transport of CO2 via the blood back to the lungs and out of the body through exhalation.

Basically, it involves breathing and your lungs

Do you mean respiratory?...

A respiratory system's function is to allow gas exchange. The space between the alveoli and the capillaries, the anatomy or structure of the exchange system, and the precise physiological uses of the exchanged gases vary depending on the organism

Is the system which includes bodily organs chiefly involved in gaseous exchange between the body and the external environment.

The respiratory system functions by taking in oxygen to the body and giving out carbon dioxide to the external environment. This gas exchange happens in the alveolar region of the lungs. When the blood is oxygenated the blood then delivers the oxygen to other parts of the body.

Are you serious?!?! You would die! How else would you obtain oxygen needed for respiration? (unless you're a unicellular organism!)

What are the major organs in the resiratory system?

Major organ in respiratory system is lungs. Major parts of respiratory system would be nose, trachea, bronchus, bronchioles, alveoli and diaphragm Alveoli are the basic units of lungs.

What are the benefits of the resiratory system?

Benefits of the respiratory system are: It helps the body to regulate temperature by expelling heat. The respiratory system brings air into the lungs and ultimately to each cell in the body. The respiratory system also removes carbon dioxide from the body.

How are brain death and cardiac death different?

Brain death is the irreversible loss of all brain function, including the brain stem, resulting in the cessation of all neurological activity, whereas cardiac death is the irreversible stoppage of the heart, leading to the cessation of circulation and oxygen delivery to vital organs. Brain death is considered the legal and medical standard for determining death in many countries, while cardiac death is when the heart stops beating and cannot be restarted.
