I'm assuming you are referring to a result from a Urine test.
Epithelial cells are skin cells. The lab will report this on urine analysis and it usually means the urine sample is contaminated with skin cells rather than just urine. When I see this reported and review my note on the patient and see that there is equivocal signs and symptoms, I will often ask for another sample before starting antibiotics.
