What is medroxyprogesterone used for?

It is used to induce a period. I am on Provera and I take it for 10 days (after 40 days if no pregnancy is detected) to cause me to get my period.

It can be used for a few different things. It can help stop abnormal bleeding, or ammenoerhea (lack of period) and to shed the uterine lining to help prevent endomitriosis.

I am on provera as well if you dont understand it brings your period down. I have polysytic ovarian syndrome which makes My period is irreuglar never comes on time and sometimes never come at all//Im also taking provera to prepare my body to make a baby with a fertility drug call clomid
