99% of the visible universe is plasma: the Sun and all the stars, and the space between the planets, the stars and the galaxies. In this respect, plasma is the most common, naturally occurring substance in the Universe.
On Earth, plasma occurs naturally as fire and lightning and in the aurora. But it can also be made artificially in fluorescent lamps, novelty plasma balls, in nuclear fuson, and by lighting a match!

There is no liquid inside a plasma television. The "plasma" refers to low pressure gas contained in cells that for the image. When the gas is excited by a voltage across it, it changes state from a gas to a plasma which will pass an electric current. At no time does it become a liquid.
