A second cousin is the cousin of your first cousin. For instance lets say that your mom have a sister, which is your aunt. Now if your aunt has a son, he would be your cousin or first cousin because his mom is your mom's sister. Now if your cousin, your aunt's son have a son, that child would be your second cousin. This is because his father is also your cousin, your first cousin.
