Someone who is always loyal and will stay by your side, through thick and thin. I'm sure you've heard this a lot, but someone who will accept you for you who are. You don't have to pretend to be someone who has more style than you do, if that's what you wish. Or maybe, less! If you just be yourself, your best friend will come around. A best friend is someone you can share secrets with and they will never leave his or her lips again. A best friend is someone who won't take your boyfriend/girlfriend and will always want to make up if you're fighting. Everyone needs a best friend, but little are true.

A friend - someone you can trust with your name, and your name sounds soft in their mouth. This can be a wife or girlfriend, a husband or boyfriend, or just. . . a friend. A friend is someone with whom you can share your deepest secrets, dreams, goals, fears and pain, and know that they will never betray your confidence, nor will they criticize or make fun of your feelings. A friend will be honest when you ask for an opinion, but will be gentle with it if it's not the opinion you wanted. A friend will tell you "Yes, that dress does make you look fat", and not be afraid of offending you. But they won't say it in a cruel manner. A friend is someone you can turn to for anything, and someone who knows they can turn to you, too. A friend will stand beside you through good times, and bad, and will give you moral support and love. They will show you the respect you deserve. A friend will not deliberately hurt you, and will try to understand, and forgive, you if you hurt them unintentionally. A friend will not belittle, betray or demean you, nor will they lie to you. A friend is someone whom you know you can trust, and with whom you can always just be yourself, knowing that is one of the things they love about you. A friend knows that to have a friend, they have to be a friend. A friend is someone, who, if given the choice, would have chosen you for a sister or a brother.
