A suppository is a small, bullet-shaped substance similar to paraffin or a piece of candle, containing chemicals capable of killing sperms. It is inserted into the vagina about 10-15 minutes before intercourse to allow it to melt.
A vaginal foaming tablet is moistened with saliva or water and inserted into vagina 10-15 minutes before intercourse. It melts at body temperature and forms a coat of foam to prevent the sperms from entering the uterus.
