the cyst can get so large that part of the wall weakens and fluid begins to leak out. that is when the cyst ruptures. It is similar to popping a water balloon. When this happens, the fluid may irritate the pelvic lining and cause pain, often severe. Most of the time the pain begins to gradually subside over the course of the next few days.
The liver is a vital organ and if it dies, you die.
When an ovarian cyst ruptures, the fluid ends up in the cul-de-sac due to gravity.
the cyst can and most likely will shrink itself. although i have had a cyst the same size that ruptured, this is VERY painful you will know when it ruptures. your doctor will tell you were or not it needs to be removed. most of the cyst will shrink and absorb back into your body though.
See a physician
it can cause your teeth to rot you have to go to the dentist if it happens anytime
Abscessed means infection and if it ruptures, this means that fluid will spill in to your mouth which could cause further infection the best thing to do is to see a dentist who will give you antibiotics.
All the air inside it is sucked out causing the wearer to die.
From a RN: not all cysts are a bad thing! Try not to be scared. when the egg is getting ready to jump out of your ovary a cyst forms around the seed and the seed develops into an egg and the cyst ruptures and the egg floats painlessly down the fallopian tube to the womb. Some times the cyst doesn't develop or rupture, usually these are reabsorbed into the body without any action. If the cyst gets bigger the doctor may go in and clip it off for you. USUALLY, they just go away. See your doctor gyn about every 6 months to monitor the size and advise you. Again, Usually, they just go away, so try not to be scared. PS a heating pad may help you be comfortable. good luck Joymaker.
If you have an ovarian cyst that has ruptured, you will feel sudden and severe abdominal and pelvic pain. You may also have a fever and vomiting and you should seek medical attention right away if you think you have a ruptured ovarian cyst.
It won't hurt to actually pop the cyst (which sometimes happens on its own, by the way), but if you hit the cyst with a book you might bruise the area around where you hit it (just like if you had hit the area with a book anyway), or if you hit it hard enough you might break a bone (just like if you had hit it with no cyst). Hitting a cyst with a book is usually not done; there are other ways to get rid of cyst including a doctor draining it with a needle and surgery. However, unless you want the cyst removed for cosmetic reasons there is no reason to remove a cyst- it usually doesn't hurt and does not restrict movement (I should know, I have a ganglion cyst on my wrist).
A facetal cyst is a type of cyst that exists in the lumbar spine. This type of cyst is also referred to as a synovial cyst.
