Water, is one of the essential elements that a body needs to function. If one were to only drink water for a day, they would be poorly mal-nutritioned.
The body has a Basal Metabolic Rate (Calories Needed for Bodily Functions [Organs, Cells, etc.]) of on average, 1500 Calories a day.
Water has no calories, so the person's body who only had water the entire day, would be in a deficit of 1500 calories.
The next point is, the body would lack energy, because it has not had any vitamins, carbohydrates, protein, or minerals that are necessary for body growth. This is extremely dangerous for growing children and teenagers, because their bodies need more of these minerals and calories to grow.

Honest answer from someone with an eating disorder for 6 years...You will lose a little bit of weight BUT here's the clincher - you will only lose water weight. The few pounds you lose will be water and excrements and your stomach will be empty. If you start eating again normally after three days you will gain all the weight back, if not more since by not eating you lower your metabolism. Some people may believe if you don't eat for a few days, you can pass out or die. That may be true; however as long as you keep your body pumped with fluids, you'll be fine.
After a couple days your body will go into starvation mode so it will start feeding off muscle and fat. and quess what its going to feed off the muscle first...which is what you don't want to lose when you are trying to lose weight.
Next as its going into starvation mode your metabolism slows down DRASTICALLY basically even if you don't start eating normally after the three days and still restrict you won't lose weight just as fast because your body will hoard food because its smart and wants to protect itself from further starvation. Not only will you not lose weight just as fast but you might just gain it all back (unless you are medically obese then you will keep losing)
going further on the medically obese PLUS including everyone else in the world...we all have cravings. Starvation is deprivation. You don't eat you will crave more. Your brain and body will yell hunger signals at you. You can be strong and not break down but you won't be able to hold on forever. You will more than likely break and binge. Binging means all your hard starving work goes to waste because you will find your favorite chocolates or whatever and eat and eat and eat until you are so bloated your can't help it anymore.
Not eating is bad for you. Aside from our soul and personality which is hard to find when you have an eating disorder another part of the identity is the body. It is created over years and years of evolution and it is like...get ready im sure you've heard this before...a "machine" or a "car". It needs to be well fueled and gased up to work. Otherwise it just stops and breaks down.
Three days won't kill you. Hey if looked at it in a positive way - not to lose weight - it can be cleansing and a detoxification process. But I doubt you are looking to detox if this question was put under the eating disorders section.
Fuel yourself up. Eat healthy and properly. Find control (since an ED is all about control anyway, not looking hot) not in starvation but in health food and giving your body what it needs and deserves.
Ps not trying to scare you (maybe a little) this is just the honest truth, a warning, experience talking.
I'm on my third day of not eating only drinking water due to a cold i have and a seriously painful sore throat an to be honest nothing has happened to me yet not hungry not dizzy but then again i feel slightly sick as though i could throw up but my stomach h has noting to throw up
Depends.
If you're dinking other stuff, like sodas, juices and milk - not much.
If you're not getting any liquids, you'll be badly dehydrated, and on the point of becoming really, really sick
You will be highly dehydrated which can be really problematic! After 3 days without water, the organs will start shutting down.. We can't really survive after 3-4 days without water. Our body is mainly made out of water.
Make sure you drink half your body weight in ounces of water everyday.
Ex: If you weight 200 pounds, you need to drink about 100 ounces of water everyday.
You will dehydrate long before you starve. Lack of proper nutrition will first effect your brain but you will be hospitalized before you actually starve. Never use starvation to lose weight.
if we don 't go for we might get sick, and there will be no hunger and we have a tendency of tiredness and nausea.
Nothing, except you will be taking more frequent bathroom breaks. Drinking a lot of fresh, clean water is good for you because it helps flush out all of the toxins in your body.
