It mean that you should not tell people your secrets or they will have to die.

In other words if you tell other people your secrets they might not keep it which sometimes you will have to kill them so they can keep it(dead people can't talk).

So its the same for two can only keep a secret if one of them is dead.

Example if I kill someone and I tell you to keep it a secret but you can't so I have to kill you too so you can keep it because you will die.

Three may keep a secret if two of them are dead is one of Benjamin Franklin's famous aphorisms What do you suppose he meant by this particular aphorism?

What he meant was the only true way to keep something secret is to trust it to only yourself. Just as the three shared trust enough for the secret, they also individually have those they trust to whom they may reveal the secret. It will no longer be a secret if it spread outside of the original three.

They burn in our brains Become a living hell Cause everyone tells Everyone tells… Got a secret Can you keep it? Dead.

Where did the aphorism 'three can keep a secret if two of them are dead' originate?

Benjamin Franklin, in "Poor Richard's Almanac" and it means that you can trust no one but your self with your own secret...so tell nobody -------------- In volume four of The history of the life and times of Cardinal Wolsey Prime Minister to King Henry VIII by George Cavendish, published by Joseph Grove in 1744, King Henry VIII is quoted as saying essentially the same thing: "three can keep Counsel if two be away ; and, if I knew my Cap was privy to my Counsel, I would cast it into the Fire, and burn it" Since Henry predates Franklin by at least a couple hundred years, the attribution to him indicates that the saying was current long before Ben was born. Even the mention of this saying in a book published in 1744 casts doubt on it being original to Franklin.
