Nuvigil is the brand name of Armodafinil, a non-amphetamine wakefulness promoting agent prescribed for narcolepsy, shift-work sleep disorder, and obstructive sleep apnea. Its chemical structure makes it an ampakine, which is not similar to any other drug tested for on a standard 5- or 7-panel drug screen such as cannabis, amphetamines, opiates, cocaine, PCP, benzodiazapines, etc. However, that does not mean that it cannot be tested for, should a screener choose to look for it specificially.
It probably will not. In my experience, most drug tests have not evolved to include this new family of medications. This includes the first generation Provigil, which was the precursor to Nuvigil.
No this will not show up on a drug screen unless your being specifically tested for "armodafinil" which is the active ingredient of Nuvagil.
Nuvigil will not show up on the drug test, since it is not in common drug classes such as marijuana, cocaine, amphetamines etc.
No It does not. Ive taken many 12 panel drug tests while on nuvigil and nadda 1 came up positive for amps. Or methamps.
If it did, it would show up as amphetamines.
