What did Eisenhower mean when he said the hopes and prayers if liberty loving people everywhere March with you?
Eisenhower said, "The hopes and prayers of liberty-loving people
everywhere march with you." What he meant is that the people of the
United States support the war effort and will be thinking about you
while you are fighting for the freedoms and liberties that we hold
so dearly. We won't be with you in body, but we will be with you in
mind.
