What does it mean when a girl says she likes you but doesn't act like it?

well as a girl i have a good idea of this ahaha. there are a few reasons:


1. She's deciding if you're what she wants. It can be hard to decide if a guy's worthy material - after all, most girls want someone who is:

• Funny
• Good Looking
• Good Reputation
• Not a player

She may not be able to tell if you fit the bill or not, so she tests you sometimes.


2. She might be a flirt. Some girls are naturally flirts - they seem interested when really they're just having fun. I know that I'm one of these people. Respond to her flirting - any girl remotely interested would love it if:

• You hugged her randomly
• Put your arm around her waist for just a second
• Touched her arm ever so slightly
• Squeezed her hand for just a second

This gets a girl interested fast, because a big thing with us is touch - it makes us more attracted to guys. Trust me.


3. She may like other guys, too. Unless she really, really likes you, it's most likely she's interested in other boys as well. There's a lot of picking and choosing - like I said, girls have specific taste. They may be comparing you to said guys almost every second she's looking. Don't get freaked out - it's just something we do. It doesn't mean we're secretly analyzing your every move. It's just very hard to decide which guys to go for as they often end up being players, fags, users, or going for another girl - like their best friend. All these things happen so much that it can be extremely hard to decide on which guy to go after.
