What does feeling high mean?

The feeling "high" is referencing the psychological feeling that a drug user gets/feels when they smoke or use drugs. When a user gets this feeling, they loose control of there body function. This feeling is often the climax of the use, and gives the user an "awesome" feeling. The drugs that gives the user often (if not always) are illegal. Please note, that becoming high isn't "awesome" at all. And if you disagree with that, than its simple: The feeling may be awesome, but the aftermath isn't. As a matter of fact, it will most likely wind you up thrown in jail.

Not to be stereotypical, but seeing how you are asking this question, i amuse you are younger in age... I'm 13, and without using references just typed this entire letter myself. I must advise you that the feeling isn't awesome in a good way. It's not like riding a roller coaster awesome. It's your life, do what you want, but i must advise you that if you do get high, it clouds your judgment and leads you to make horrible, horrible decisions... And just like drinking, the aftermath results in memory loss, distortion of your judgment, nausea, clammy skin, and unstable breathing. I'm not going to preach to you and tell you NOT TO SMOKE, but i will tell you, that by picking up that cigarette, may ruin your life.

I'm going to answer the question based on weed.

When you take one puff it doesn't really have much of an effect. You need to take in at least 3-4 puffs so be patient.

It's not like how they portray it in the films. You don't become retarded and tipsy and completely unaware of what you're doing. You just become really really happy.

You laugh a lot and find the smallest things funny. Someone you could just be sitting there and you'll start laughing randomly without anything even happening. You sometimes become quite paranoid if someone passes by.

E.g, I was smoking it with my friend and when people walked past he covered it and began whistling.

You don't really have that much common sense.

You can start talking quite loudly without even realizing.

You don't really thing about what you're doing and at the time it feels like the right thing to do but when you think back at it you realize how stupid you must have looked to people.

E.g, Me and my friend were walking home while we were high and we saw some of our other friends across the road. They clearly looked at us but we turned around and legged it into a shop.

After a while you'll become quite sleepy and light headed but that's normal. Then you'll go back into that happy mood and then it begins to ware off and you go back to normal.
