Actually, it depends on the color. As far as I know, it doesn't mean anything for any other color than black. If you see a person wearing a black ring on their middle finger on their right hand, then that means that person is asexual. An asexual person is simply a person who is not sexually attracted by people and is not to be confused with asexual reproduction.
And there are other meanings to wearing a ring on non-ring fingers. For example, if you wear a ring on your thumb, it is supposed to mean you are "sexy."
