It is very difficult for a relationship/marriage to work long-term if there is no respect for each other. Most people cannot maintain love or even like a person without some level of respect for that person. There's probably not very much you can do other than to stop doing whatever you were doing (if you even know) to make him lose respect for you. I believe that once a person loses respect for another person it is very difficult to gain that person's respect again.
