Friendy Advice from Ms. Marcia Bowen, Relationship Couselor and Marriage Mentor

If your sweetheart is having a tough time, then why not cheer her up? Bringing her a bouquet of flowers, or even complimenting her and saying something kind, can be effective and affectionate, and well-excepted by her. If she is upset at you because of something that you have done to her, then you might want to think before you speak in the future! The best way to approach these sticky situations is to simply face-to-face talk to your girlfriend. Ask her to meet you somewhere private to chat. Tell her that you are truly sorry for what you did, and ask what you can do to make it better. You may want to think these words through ahead of time before you say anything, because her temper may flare at any moment, or she could become suddenly overcome by emotion. Also, if you are having a bad day yourself, then it ma not be the day to have this little chat with your girlfriend, because you two could both turn your personal emotions on each other in a negative response to your feelings at the time. Just wait a day or two until you feel ready to be man enough to discuss matter personally, face-to-face.
