Tetrahydrocannabinol or THC is the active psychoactive substance found in Marijuana. It is found in Marinol and Dronabinol and sold by various drug companies.
Generally it will take your body a few weeks to adjust to a new drug. If conditions worsen, contact your doctor and ask to try something else.

Dronabinol Marinol Naboline Cesamet Sativex Cannabidiol possibly others...
No as a chemist I can tell you that the chemical makeup of dronabinol is different than the THC (natural) that would show up in a drug test. If you are having an Iron T3m test done the same day you take this medication, it will show your IRON levels to be either very low or non existent. SO NO YOU ARE SAFE (remember that dronabinol does not produce the same euphoria that natural THC does however its very similar. But double check with a pharmacist as drug test are ever evolving. FYI my sister in law was having T3M76 Chemo treatments and had never used natural THC, This was the only medication that helped her nausea----- BUT SHE WAS VERY EUPHORIC while taking dronabinol. Again just an FYI. T.Johnson PhD
