The main ingredient in ecstasy is MDMA otherwise known as molly. pure MDMA is white, but can be an off-white or brownish color.

I once took an Ecstasy tablet that was supposed to have heroin in it. And it sure felt like heroin. That pill was red. But that was over 7 years ago, so, I would be very surprised if the exact same kind of pill was still being bought and sold.
