No, you should have feeling in your fingertips, I would recommend seeing a doctor.
If you are finding that your legs get so numb that you are unable to stand, you should see a doctor. It is normal to get numb legs from sitting for long periods of time but you should be able to stand up.
If you are doing it right they will. They also will be sore and start to callous.
Many things can cause this from setting or sleeping wrong, to low back problems. Pinching of the Sciatic Nerve is another common cause of numbness. Then there's the possibility of blocked arteries. I suggest you seek the advice of a medical professional as soon as possible.
