It is very important to go to a podiatrist bc then it can get infected if you dont. What they will most likely do is preform a procedure to cut in your skin and clip the side where it is ingrown. Dont worry they will numb your toe really well.
I really suggest doing it. i waited 3 weeks to go to the doctor and mine got very infected. and way more painful.

When you cut your nails you should try to cut it in a straight line or at least have it all longer than the tip of your finger. This a way to to prevent it because if cut to short in presses in to the skin and carry`s on growing inward.
