Can too much calcium cause depression and tiredness?
Though there are numerous side effects, yes depression and
tiredness are some common side effects from too much calcium
intake. Other side effects include nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea.
Also, too much intake can result in impairment of the kidney
functions which increases absorption of other minerals.
Our bodies usually regulate different minerals and we usually
receive substantial intake from a good balanced diet. Often
receiving too much minerals in our body (such as calcium) is from
taking dietary pills. One common rule of thumb is to always eat at
home and not out (though certainly not a perfect rule.) Any other
problems would suggest that you contact your doctor.
