A tablespoon of semen contains approximately six calories. Semen does contain protein, but it also contains all kinds of chemicals and minerals, including water, sugar, calcium, chlorine, magnesium, nitrogen, vitamin B12, and zinc. But it does not contain enough of any of these things to be considered "nutritious."
There are absolutely NO benefits from ingesting semen or having it on your skin (in fact, when on the skin it gets tacky, then dries into a partly sticky and icky film).
Semen has only ONE benefit. It lets sperm swim and stay alive so one sperm of millions might meet an egg.
it feels good
Sperm (semen) is mostly protein and full of other nutrients. There is no reason not to swallow it, and several studies have found some health benefits to swallowing semen. However, no person should ever be forced or pressured to swallow semen if they do not want to. Like anything else you put into your mouth, if the semen comes from a person who is infected with a disease, you can catch the infection through swallowing the semen. That is why swallowing semen can be risky to your health unless you know that the person is not infected. The amount of semen released during an ejaculation, approximately 5ml, is not going to bring any health benefits for you if swallowed.
I don't know of any medical basis for this. Semen mainly consists of simple sugars (monosaccharides) and some amino acids. Ingestion shouldn't have any effect on your health (unless you catch a sexually transmitted disease from it).
Women do not produce semen.
Well semen does contain calcium and vitamin D, both of which are essential for health. So in a sense, yes, semen is good for your health.
A myth or opinion that semen can give life giving benefits !
Conserving semen has no benefits. It is a myth (wrong belief) that conserving semen is good.
It isn't particularly good nor bad. It does have a few calories, and some claim health benefits.
Consuming your own semen will do you no harm.
