Many foods contain potassium. All meats (red meat and chicken) and fish such as salmon, cod, flounder, and sardines are good sources of potassium. Soy products and veggie burgers are also good sources of potassium.

Vegetables including broccoli, peas, lima beans, tomatoes, potatoes (especially their skins), sweet potatoes, and winter squashes are all good sources of potassium.

Fruits that contain significant sources of potassium include citrus fruits, cantaloupe, bananas, kiwi, Prunes, and apricots. Dried apricots contain more potassium than fresh apricots.

Milk and yogurt, as well as nuts, are also excellent sources of potassium.

Your health should be one of your top priorities. Without your health, you have nothing to help you accomplish anything in the world. Even if you have the greatest mind the world has ever seen, you are not going to be able to do much without the ability to get out of bed in the morning.

Potassium Can Help You Stay Healthy

Potassium is essential to keeping kidneys, muscles and the nervous system working well. A key food that is high in potassium is the banana. Bananas are cheap and easy to digest for most people. You can simply chop some up and put them in your cereal to help you keep yourself nice and healthy.

Leafy Greens Are Full Of Potassium

Spinach is another great food that you can eat if you are thinking about loading up on potassium. Spinach can be had in frozen form if you are not going to use it right away. It is great in salads for a quick dosage of potassium to keep your muscles working properly. Kale and collard greens are other leafy greens that you can eat that are full of potassium. They can be purchased for an affordable price in your local produce section.

Baked Potatoes Are Great For Meat And Potatoes Kind Of Men

If you find salads to be lacking when it comes to filling you up, you should know that baked potatoes are another great source of potassium. This means that you can enjoy your meat and potatoes and still keep your body healthy at the same time. While you want to watch your meat intake, the potato will offset at least some of the damage that you are doing to your body.

Potassium is something that you should be looking to get each day. While you don't need a lot of it to stay healthy, it is easy to suffer from a deficiency. The good news is that you can get some in your morning, afternoon and evening meal.
