It m,ainly depends upon wit kind of virus the PC is infected with.

Most common symptoms are: Slow computer, dead slow booting and shutdown time, frequent computer crashes, frequent PC restaarts or shutdowns.

Uncommon Symptoms are: File degradation on your PC, Duplicate file creation on your PC, unfamiliar file creation, running programs in the background, preventing installation of anti virus utilities, switching system restore off.. etc.....
