Previcox is a an excellent drug for arthritic dogs. However, like all meds it has side effects. Always give the tab with FOOD and make sure your dog gets yougurt every day. My vet told me to give Pepcid twice a day also, helps the tummy handle any problems that the Previcox may present. Also , make sure you keep in touch with your vet and get the blood work done to see how the kidneys and liver handle the med. Have your dog get a good check up and talk to your vet about the use of Previcox. Let your vet know right away if you see any side effects. I have a GS dog almost 12. She is doing well on it but she gets a Pepcid twice a day to protect her tummy.
