Assessment: Screen for proper dieting, and coping skills; evaluate for risk of high blood pressure, obesity, and mental illnesses.
REPRODUCTIVE FUNCTION
Basic function of the family to maintain the cycle of life span continuation through marriage, sexual behavior and reproduction. In today's society, families are smaller and couples are delaying the child education experiences until their careers are established and stabilized.
Assessment: Discuss views of raising children with the nuclear dyad couples and single adults living alone regarding their ideas, plans, and doubts about having children.

Adequate financial resources are a main concern for everyone. Today's economy is erratic and with the pathetic dollar; clothes, food, shelter, gasoline, and sufficient health care are not becoming a necessity however a luxury.
Assessment: Evaluate nutritional status, educational background, employment status, and financial situation.
