If you have to look for "subtle signs" that he is disrespecting you, wouldn't that mean that he isn't showing any real signs of disrespecting you? After all, if you had better examples of concrete disrespect, you'd have either shown them to us, or known without asking us.

As it is, he probably just made a mistake. So you can let it go without further worry. And bear this in mind - if he truly is disrespecting you, then he'll soon enough make sure you know, and you can worry then.
