Desert Boils are skin infections resulting from Sandfly bites. They often occur in hot desert atmosphere. They're known to occur throughout the Middle East and occasionally in the African Serengeti and Nullarbor desert of Australia. Medically known as cutaneous Leishmaniasis. Manifesting themselves as severe rashes they often appear to be crater-like holes in the dermis and often become blistering pockets of fluid. They are extremely irritating and painful and can take extensive time to heal. Hope this helps! Fr B+
