The first most and most important step is to make sure you are eating right. Remember: You are what you eat! When you endulge yourself in junk food, you often feel guilty and depressed. Not only this but you will gain weight if you dont exercise. Your body is your temple. RESPECT IT! It is the only one you have. You need to make sure that you are only putting good things in it. Stick to organic fruits and vegetables, free range chicken (which does not contain hormons), whole wheat bread and soy based products such as tofu and soy milk and fish. A trip to you nearest healthfood/organic store should be YOUR FIRST STEP. Eat beef and pork and sweets sparingly. AVOID FAST FOOD RESTAURANTS! Also if you feel you are overweight and have toxicity problems or problems digesting or just want to feel healthier then i HIGHLY suggest to try the Lemon Diet or Master Cleanse. You can research it more on line but the ingredients are: 2 freshed squeezed lemons 2 tbl. spoon of maple syrup (or agave nectar) dash of cayenne pepper and fill the glass with water all the way to the top. This diet is for a minimum of 10 days and you can have nothing but the drink, water, and tea. There is a book out that tells you all the great things about this diet including what serious diseases it has been known to cure. The book also includes a list of food that you can snack on while on the diet. This diet is really good for you because it cleanses your colon and rids your body harmful toxins. The first three days are tough because you do get sick to your stomach along with other minor symptoms from all the toxins but this is a good sign because it means that the diet is working. DO NOT GIVE UP AT THIS POINT! You are still getting calories from the maple syrup but you just are not eating solid food. By the 7th day you will have more energy and feel better about yourself than ever before! I have done this diet several times and I feel better and better everytime. If this seems too scary to jump into, then first cut down on your eating habits and ease into the master cleanse. It will be worth it! Another alternative is a water fast. It is also important to develop a regular exercise routine; I suggest outdoor sports such as biking, swimming or running- even a brisk walk for thirty minutes is a step in the right direction if you don't feel like going all out at first. Exercise not only is good for your cadiovascular system, but it also increses endrophins which make you feel happy. Also make sure you are going to bed on a regualar basis and getting at least 8 hours of sleep; however, research has shown that people are able to think clearer with more sleep. It doesnt matter which order you do these. If there is a certain problem that you feel is really bogging you down in one of these catagories then you will know and you can take small steps to work and improve those habits. Good luck!
