Romeo and Juliet, Act 3, scene 1. Romeo, to Tybalt.
Tybalt, the reason that I have to love thee
Doth much excuse the appertaining rage
To such a greeting: villain am I none;
Therefore farewell; I see thou know'st me not.
Tybalt just called Romeo a villain, and said that he hated him. What would be rage on Romeo's part is 'excused', or lessened, because Romeo loves Juliet. Romeo says goodbye; it's clear you don't know me.
Romeo and Tybalt fight in Act 3, Scene 1 of Shakespeare's play "Romeo and Juliet." The lines exchanged during the fight include Tybalt's "Romeo, the hate I bear thee can afford, No better term than this,--thou art a villain," to which Romeo responds, "Tybalt, the reason that I have to love thee doth much excuse the appertaining rage."
"The Long Love that in my Thought doth Harbour," is a poem written by Sir Thomas Wyatt. Wyatt was an English poet during the Renaissance.
Romeo's response to Benvolio in Act I, Scene 1 is that he is feeling lovesick over Rosaline and is consumed by unrequited love. He explains his turmoil by saying that love is a "smoke raised with the fume of sighs" and that he is unable to control his emotions.
In the version of Star Vicino (To Be Near Thee) I have it means:To be near thee, my own true belovedIs the joy and delight of my heart,Is the joy and delight,Joy and delight of my heart,Is the joy and delight of my heart,Is the joyIs the joy and delight of my heartTo be far from your own fair belovedIs the deepest grief love doth impart,Is the deepest grief,Deepest grief love doth impart,Is the deepest grief love doth impart,Is the griefIs the deepest grief love doth impart
the soul needs love that's what it thirsts
In a way , yes .
It is but not a very good one!
Romeo denies Tybalt's challenge to a fight. He does this because he has just been married to Juliet and now sees Tybalt as family although Tybalt doesn't because he does not know nor will he ever know. Romeo tells Tybalt he will not fight because he loves him.
