scratching burned skin is terribly unhealthy for the healing process, scaring and being prone to infection. The best thing to do if burned by the sun or fire badly is to take pills that lesson the itch and apply specific ointment for your injury. If your burn is not mild and is worse i recommend seeing your local doctor.
