I am pretty sure the higher the number (3422) the higher the dose. It is used to treat urinary infections.
I am afraid, you are mistaken. Both have the same dose of nitrofurantoin - 100 mg. And in both capsules, they are nitrofurantoin macrocrystals. Mylan 3422 and Mylan 1700 capsules are the same in strength.
