That largely depends on the individual. Certainly you need a certain amount of money to survive, to fulfil the basics of life, ie food, shelter etc.

If you use Maslow's hierarchy of needs, then the answer would be yes money is more important than love until you have enough to provide yourself with the basics in life, after that it becomes a subjective topic and depends what your own personal goals and aims are. If you want a house in Beverly Hills over a person who you can share everything with then to you, money is more important. If you'd be happy in a small house and little income but with someone you adored, then no.
